Indeed, I'd love to see that, but I appreciate it even with its proprietary bits. I always keep Brave as a backup, but Vivaldi still allows me to do everything that I need to do, and in a way that I like to do it. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I thought about what your backup web browser would be just in case some website does not work (properly) on both #Vivaldi and #Brave. 🀯 I assume that you would just do your best to tweak the settings of such web browsers !INDEED, rather than find a new one (even if only temporarily). πŸ˜…

If any website doesn't test or care about being compatible with two very popular browsers, then it's not a site that I need to use. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

@savvyplayer wonders if you mean to say that the #Vivaldi and #Brave web browsers are "very popular". πŸ€”πŸ€― While we (really) like both of them, I doubt that they are close to being at least somewhat popular though (if you ask random people that often use computers if they know such web browsers). πŸ€―πŸ€“

I feel bad saying this, but most people are technological idiots, so their opinions on software is meaningless to me. Vivaldi and Brave are two of the best browsers available, being notably superior to both Chrome and Firefox, and for multitudes of reasons πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I do highly prefer those two web browsers (for different purposes). πŸ€”πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

I would definitely agree when you say "some of the best web browsers", though just not very popular. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜…

They've also both gotten notably better in the time that I've been using them. There are various quite interesting new open-source browsers gaining attention, though I still haven't had the time to explore any of them in any depth yet. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I wonder if you have tested other less popular FOSS web browsers, such as #LibreWolf, #WaterFox, and #PaleMoon (and what your experiences were using them). πŸ€”πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

They (which are #Firefox forks) don't have their own adblockers, but they come bundled with a FOSS extension that does such functionality. πŸ€“πŸ˜

I think that I've experimented with all of those at least once, and while I remember appreciating them, I also remember them not really having all the features that I need in a browser for daily use. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™
