It has been a year that they have been living in the basement. It was a small family of both parents and two little children. Everything outside is quiet now. The father decided to go outside to check the surroundings. He went up the stairs slowly, unsure whether it is the right time to check. He opened the door and was shocked!

His opened his eyes wide as if he had never opened them as much before. He was speechless. He just witnessed part of the damages that the huge star made on the planet. No more trees around, all the houses were damaged. No one was around. He heard a sound of iron and little bit of screams coming from down the hill.

He moved towards the sound with caution. He made sure that his steps do not draw attention. He just took a glance at few people fighting each other. He started heard a bit of their talk and it was about the few resources left. He rushed back home. He realized that it is crucial to build now. He went into the basement, and without saying a word. He took some of the left overs of fruits and vegetables. Went back outside and started to bury their seeds into the ground. He realized that it was time to rebuild.

Já fazia um ano que eles viviam no porão. Era uma pequena família composta pelos pais e duas crianças pequenas. Tudo lá fora estava silencioso agora. O pai decidiu sair para verificar os arredores. Subiu as escadas lentamente, sem ter certeza se era a hora certa. Abriu a porta e ficou chocado!

Seus olhos se arregalaram como nunca antes. Estava sem palavras. Acabara de testemunhar parte da destruição causada pela enorme estrela no planeta. Não havia mais árvores por perto, todas as casas estavam danificadas. Não havia ninguém por perto. Ouviu um som de ferro e alguns gritos vindos da encosta.

Moveu-se cautelosamente em direção ao som. Certificou-se de que seus passos não chamassem a atenção. Deu uma olhada rápida em algumas pessoas brigando. Começou a ouvir um pouco da conversa delas, que girava em torno dos poucos recursos restantes. Correu de volta para casa. Percebeu que era crucial reconstruir agora. Desceu ao porão e, sem dizer uma palavra, pegou algumas das frutas e verduras que sobraram. Voltou para fora e começou a enterrar as sementes na terra. Percebeu que era hora de reconstruir.
