That was a weird stare, he looked at him for a while. Trying to decide if the mistake was intentional. It was starting to feel uncomfortable for the kid to see his teacher looking at him like that. But, he was trying to get some information from that first impression.

He had his laptop open on that square desk, as he was writing his notes. The kid knew that he needed to escape the situation, as it was stressful to him. The kid's face was showing no other expression but, fear of the situation. He said all that was on his mind. But, the principle did not get convinced that the kid did not know that chewing gum is not allowed. The first impression was taken already. It was even before he entered that room. The principle read his body language correctly. It was fear of consequences that drives the kid to say what he said. But, what he could not see is that, the little kid did not know how deceive and all he knew at the time was honesty.

Aquele olhar era estranho; ele o encarou por um tempo, tentando decidir se o erro fora intencional. O garoto estava começando a se sentir desconfortável com o olhar do professor. Mas ele tentava extrair alguma informação daquela primeira impressão.

O laptop estava aberto sobre a mesa quadrada, e o garoto anotava. Ele sabia que precisava escapar da situação, pois estava estressado. O rosto do garoto não demonstrava outra expressão além de medo. Ele disse tudo o que lhe vinha à mente. Mas o diretor não se convenceu de que o garoto não sabia que mascar chiclete era proibido. A primeira impressão já havia sido formada, mesmo antes de ele entrar na sala. O diretor interpretou corretamente sua linguagem corporal. Era o medo das consequências que levava o garoto a dizer o que disse. Mas o que ele não percebeu é que o garotinho não sabia como enganar e, naquele momento, só conhecia a honestidade.
