Introvert Talks - Fail To Plan, Plan To Fail

"Introvert Talks" is meant to be a new initiative or theme, where I myself as an introvert, just talk about reflections and thoughts about my life, or maybe share more personal stuff. :)
This is my weekly post under this "Introvert Talks" theme and let's see where it takes me and us.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I am sure most of us have heard of this saying.
I don't write much about finance or crypto stuff, because I always find it somewhat sensitive, and I also don't want it to be misinterpreted into some of investment advice or recommendation because everyone should be responsible for their own finances, their investment decisions etc, you get what I mean.
But personally, other than the assets on Hive, I do have some form of crypto exposure as part of my allocation across liquid cash savings, less liquid money market funds for low risk returns, and some bonds and some equities for the long term market exposure.
Anyway, the crypto markets have seen something quite extraordinary over the past 3 days or so. Here's a snapshot of the price movements of the top 10 cryptos over the past week, BTC is up 22%, ETH is up 29%, and many others are up similar magnitude or even more.

Hive is up but (disappointingly) much less than others, "just" up 15% over the past week. On an absolute basis, this is still something extraordinary, considering the conventional market returns for equities are just 8 to 10% per year.

So the big question is, is this the start of the new 4 year(?) cycle or is this just another one of those random bull traps that will fizzle out in the next few months?
The answer is no one knows.
I don't know either. Nonetheless, it was still quite interesting to see the online discussion on social media about this jump. After all, we have been in this crypto winter for so looong and I can't remember when was the last time I saw so many double digit returns across the board within a day.
So the question should be, are we, or am I prepared if this was really the start of fresh cycle?
If (big disclaimer on the if) this continues, maybe we could see more people starting to return to Hive, more posts, more activity, and further increases in the price of Hive. 15% for another week will bring it past 0.05. As much as I am happy to see a bigger number in my Hive wallet, I think it would be also great to see the Hive community do well, and become livelier once again. It's like supporting and sticking with a sports team for so long, and they finally made a breakthrough.
But maybe I am too optimistic. Who knows, things could just fizzle out and Hive retreats back to 0.04 once more and stays there for months.
Regardless, it's time to revisit some of those plans and allocations, especially if the values have changed substantially. Or just for the purpose for preparation. As for Hive, I don't think much will change for me. Unless Hive reaches an astronomical value, I don't think it makes sense for me to power down at my current level, so it's pretty much status quo. Hive Power still has its place in the form of engagement and curation.
So what's the astronomical value I am looking at? Haha. I don't have a good answer for now, at around 14k Hive Power, maybe when Hive reaches 1 dollar, the value of my Hive would be 14k USD, and that's quite a sizeable amount. Maybe at that point, I will power down a portion and convert some into HBD (depending what's the interest rate at that point) or just reallocate and diversify into something else.
So that's my plan. What's your plan on Hive? ;)
