Monochrome Moment - PhotoFeed Contest Black and White Photography 163
For the past few days, the weather here in my city has been extremely hot, so much so that everyone longed for a break from the heat. The sun beat down relentlessly as if it were on a mission to finish us off. Lol.
And today, as nature would have it, we woke up to a cloudy sky, and then, a refreshing rain which lasted for thirty minutes or thereabout, before subsiding into a gentle drizzle, thereby allowing people to head out.
I managed to get to the office, and while settling in, I took a moment to look out the window – a habit of mine most mornings. The greyish tone of the wet street, and the church opposite my office caught my eye, and I thought "this would make a perfect monochrome photo." So I went ahead to photograph them.

The outcome was just as I anticipated - stunning! A look at the photos, and you'd see how the church's architecture stood out against the gloomy sky, with cars and people moving slowly, creating a sense of calm - and this calm lingered, carrying me throughout the day.
Sometimes, it's the simplest moments that speak the loudest. This rainy morning, I found beauty in the ordinary, and I'm glad I captured it.
Tell me, how's the weather condition is your city?

You were absolutely right my sister, at some point, I felt that the sun was on a mission to finish us all 🤪🤪🤪. But thank God for the rain that made it possible for us to sleep peacefully at night despite the fact that PHCN has refused to supply power. The pictures are awesome.
Thank God for the rain oo, at least we'll enjoy a cool weather for now until the sun takes over again. 😂

Awesome shots you've got here! It's a typical example of the bird's eye view. Well done! Have a great day, too.
