Beautiful pictures, Ed. The 8th picture, are those walnut trees? You know my grandma told us this creepy story about the famous walnut tree in Triora. Waz writing a story about it for Halloween. 😁

Hehe Ellie, you had me counting the photos! As for number 8, no they are not walnut trees. As a rule we don't have walnut trees in the wild, they tend to be in walled gardens in some of the old posh country estates like Falkland Palace. Our hardwoods are typically ash, elm, beech birch and sycamore!
Hehe you do love your stories with grandma. Now I am curious if she lived there or in Italy.. And of course you have me googling about the walnut tree in Triora.
It's an urban legend in our culture, used to scare children into praying the Santo Rosario at 6:00 PM, lol. But there's no such thing as that tree. It was never proven. You know Triora is said to be the home of wicked witches, tho. I'm still writing a fiction story related to it, but waz way too scary for me to finish, haha. I'm wondering why I even started it, damn.
