The Slothiest Guide of miningwar.slothbuzz.com

(Edited)

This is an AI-generated guide using Grok initially and then manually read/adapted and curated by me, with some fun parts. If any mistakes are detected, please let me know.

Sloths Mining War is a Hive-blockchain idle game from the SlothBuzz community (IDLE GAME MY *** 🤣)!

Have you seen how IDLE I WAS in the last 72 hours? IDIOT AI, that does not even understand how to translate these things... Either way, check my transactions/broadcasts if you need immutable proof.

Continuing... (hopefully you will see what text is mine, and what is AI generated, which was only done to help create a guide).

You run a hive (unless it meant a real Honey Hive ... LOL), produce honey, climb a weekly leaderboard, and compete for real HIVE prize pools. Players are called beekeepers. Theme is bees + sloths. Play it at miningwar.slothbuzz.com.

The game is still in testing mode as of the date of this post. The team has said a full reset (including sloths) is coming before a proper “live live” launch. Treat current progress as practice, not a long-term investment.

What kind of game it is

It is an idle incremental + weekly competition:

  • Buy and upgrade worker bees that produce honey automatically.
  • Honey rate decides your rank.
  • Top 10 share a HIVE pot at the end of each ~7-day round.
  • Extra systems let you steal boosts, sponsor the round, stake honey, and (on other tabs) fight / use items.

Login is with a Hive account. You spend HIVE in-game. Honey is the main production currency.

Screen layout

Top bar typically shows:

image.png

  • Current round and time left
  • HIVE balance
  • Extra daily resources
  • Hive username
  • Help and Info (read these in-game first)

Main tabs:

  1. Overview — hive, bees, league, sponsor, boosters, honey staking
  2. Battle — combat (not fully documented publicly)
    3. The Smoker — utility / item tab (WTF??? smoker? this is wrong, deleted but showing you what AI wrote just for fun)
  3. Roundround board and payouts blockchain transactions and in-game blockchain chat. Will also show you if you have anything to claim.

The weekly round

Rounds usually last about 7 days. Prize pools grow as HIVE enters the round. There are separate pots such as Standing/League, Boss, and Staking Honey.

League pot (Top 10)

Example of my last round

Ranked by honey/day, not total honey.

Top 10 split the league pool like this:

PlaceShare
1st25%
2nd20%
3rd15%
4th8%
5th7%
6th–10th5% each

If you are 11th or lower, you get no league share that week.

Payout happens when the timer hits zero. Your projected HIVE only pays if your rank holds.

Core loop

  1. Log in with Hive.
  2. Spend honey (and sometimes HIVE) to buy worker-bee levels.
  3. Raise honey/day so you climb the board.
  4. Optionally fight over global boosters and the sponsor slot.
  5. Optionally stake honey into the burn pot.
  6. Wait for weekly payout.
  7. Worker bees will ALWAYS reset each round (that's the mechanic that brings us the 'rounds'. Miner Sloths 'shouldn't' reset weekly, however, currently the team is testing things and will reset them as and when required (will be another reset after this round!)

That is the whole economy in one sentence: turn honey into rank, turn rank into HIVE.

Worker bees (your "hive")

On Overview you buy levels on bee types. Example types from the live UI:

  • Buz-Z-Bee — cheap starter, lower output
  • Bum-B-Bee — mid tier
  • Wax-O-Bee — expensive, high output

Important rules from the game text:

  • Pick how many levels with + / −, or buy as many as you can afford with MAX.
  • The button price is the whole batch.
  • Levels inside a slot are flat-cost (10 levels cost 10× one level).
  • Worker bees reset with the round.
  • Honey sloths carry (persistent sloth progress — subject to the announced test reset).

Early on, dump honey into the cheapest bee that still moves your honey/day. Later, compare cost per extra honey/day across types before you buy.

Worker Bee Boosters (PvP multipliers)

These are global, paid-in-HIVE multipliers. One person holds each tier at a time.

UI rules:

  • A tier multiplies every worker bee level you own, not one slot. That makes high-tier boosts powerful if you already have many bee levels.
  • Only one holder at a time for the whole round.
  • Buying a tier takes it from the current holder.
  • You cannot snipe a tier you already hold.
  • If you hold a higher tier, lower ones you also own go quiet. The highest owned tier is the one that applies.
  • Price starts at a floor, ×2 on every snipe, and halves back toward the floor every 12 hours.
  • If someone 'snipes' your booster, you do in fact receive 55% of their paid price. So, the AI is sort of correct later in the darn post, but one should really wait until the price drops again to snipe it (or until someone is happy about it 😎). Either way, the previous owner gets a payout (a profit if you buy before the cooldown ticks down).

Example tiers seen in-game:

  • Honeycomb Heart — +15%, floor around 2 HIVE
  • Queen’s Swarm — +25%, floor around 4 HIVE
  • Stinger Rocket — +35%, floor around 8 HIVE

Sniping is a timing game. Prices get stupid after a fight, then decay. Don’t snipe in a panic unless the extra honey/day actually moves you into a paid league slot.

Game sponsor slot

Someone can buy the sponsor for the round.

  • Sponsor earns 2.5% of every HIVE that enters the round while they hold the slot.
  • Taking the slot pays the current sponsor a buyout.
  • Every flip raises the price ×1.5.
  • Price resets to 2 HIVE when the next round starts.

This is a side bet on “how much HIVE will flow into the round,” not on your honey rank. Late-round snipes are expensive. Early-round holds can be better if activity is rising.

Burn-em-Honey (stake honey)

Separate mini-economy:

  • Stake honey into a pot and share HIVE rewards.
  • Staking is one-way. No unstake.
  • Staked honey only leaves when you claim a share, and claiming burns it.
  • Each period pays 24% of the pot pro-rata to stakers and 1% to whoever cranks the pot.
  • Cap around 5 HIVE; leftover rolls to the next period.

Use this if you have spare honey and are not close to a league cutoff. If you are fighting for top 10, honey is usually better spent on bees.

Other systems (less public detail)

These exist in the UI / community chat, but full numbers change during tests:

  • Battle — combat between players/bases. Expect honey or sloths to matter here.
    - The Smoker — likely items, perks, or round tools. - WTF? the smoker again? This AI is smoking too much!
  • Sloths — persistent units/army that carry between rounds. People buy or gather sloths. The team warned not to overspend before the reset.
  • Leaves Slothium — in-game credits. One planned mechanic: nominate sloths to burn for leaves slothium at about 1.25× Hive value.
  • Torpor — a perk tied to burning $SlothBuzz tokens. There is a community write-up on Hive by slothburn titled as a game guide around this perk.

Open Help and Info in the game for the current official wording. Test rounds have already had mechanic mistakes and short extra rounds.

How to start (AI practical analysis NOT MINE!)

  1. Get a Hive account and a little HIVE.
  2. Open miningwar.slothbuzz.com and log in.
  3. Read Help / Info.
  4. Buy starter Buz-Z-Bee levels until honey/day is moving.
  5. Check the league board. Ask: “Can I realistically reach top 10 this week?”
  6. If yes, keep upgrading bees and only snipe boosters that change your payout bracket.
  7. If no, play cheap: farm honey, learn Battle/Smoker, maybe stake leftover honey.
  8. Do not dump a large stack into sloths or boosters until the team says the economy is live.

Community size during tests has been small (roughly teens of beekeepers per round), so a modest hive can still place. That will change if the game gets popular.

Strategy notes

Honey/day is the only league stat. Extra honey sitting unused does not raise rank.

Buy efficiency, not vanity levels. Flat costs mean dumping 10 cheap levels can beat 1 expensive level.

Boosters multiply your whole hive. Snipe after you already have levels, not before.

Watch the 12-hour decay. Let a bidding war cool off, then buy the floor-ish price. (Don't know where the helll AI is getting this one)

League math first. Moving from 11th to 10th is huge (0% → 5%). Moving from 2nd to 1st is 20% → 25%. Spend HIVE where it changes a bracket. (a bit irrelevant in my view, but OK)

Sponsor ≠ ranking. You can win sponsor fees while sitting outside top 10, or lose HIVE on the slot while leading the board.

Assume a wipe. Anything labelled persistent (sloths) may still be reset. (check Discord or ask anyone playing the game already, as these are likely to know if this is true or not, and when)

What you can earn

Rewards are HIVE, from:

  • Weekly league placement
  • Honey-staking periods
  • Sponsor cut (if you hold that slot)
  • Other pots mentioned in daily Hive round posts (Boss / Staking style pools)

This is a small community game, not a guaranteed income machine. Prize pools during tests have ranged from tens to low hundreds of HIVE depending on the week.

Where to follow updates

Grok: If you want, I can turn this into a one-page “first 30 minutes” checklist or a spend-priority chart (bees vs boosters vs sponsor vs staking) once you say whether you are playing free/cheap or willing to spend HIVE.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Enough! 🤣🤦‍♂️😎

There it is, guys... produced initially via Grok to quickly create the bones of this post, and then I had to go ALL over it to read it, agree or not and/or make comments where I hopefully you can figure them out given my "character" fingerprint.

That's it, people... and I hope you enjoy this one. A different but practical way of using AI to help you create content, but still add value because you are not just copy-pasting it, and in this case I basically read the entire thing to make sure at least I am not recommending you to commit suicide! LOL

😊 Forkyou™ in the next one 😉

Wow looks cool, quite good explanation. I am afraid of jumping on new stuff because my time is limited.

It's for Sloths; what can possibly go wrong :D
Free to check it out; only 1 Hive to join the round. Theoretically, you shouldn't have to check in more than 3 times a day, for 30 seconds each time...however, it depends on your play style ;)

Yeah, though about giving this a try. Still takes too much time to review the content... and then defies the point if you have to change too many things.

So I only added the screenshots, made some corrections and added some fun stuff. Still took 15 minutes... but I am very VERY SLOW!

Enjoy what you can! Cheers...

Nice write-up, Forky; sort of matches what the other AI wrote about in @slothburn post about the game the other day. (here) I like that your AI also referenced that post! Clearly Ai's are working together!

A couple of things to note. 'Smoker' was the thing we introduced to first burn the sloths, but it didn't work out, hence the more streamlined 'nominate' to turn into 'slothium' (Yes, sorry AIs, we changed the name. Leaves is just too hard to get into a sentence about a leaves, leave, leaf? - Slothium!)

Worker bees reset next round. (This is an exception until the game releases, so if you're reading this in the future, check if this is still in place, but probably not).

Worker bees will ALWAYS reset each round, that's the mechanic that brings us the 'rounds'. Mininer Sloths 'shouldn't' reset weekly, however currently we're testing things and reset them as and when required (will be another reset after this round!)

Getting sniped does not refund you. The boost just stops. You can buy it back at the new price.

If someone 'snipes' your booster, you do in fact receive 55% of their paid price. So, the AI is sorta correct later in your post; you should really wait until the price drops again to snipe it. Either way, the previous owner gets a payout (a profit if you buy before the cooldown ticks down)

Overall, decent review. I think trying to write guides, etc. makes the game sound more confusing than it is. The best way to learn is to jump into Sloths Mining War and have a play around for yourself. Can even 'view' for free, to get a better grasp before you pay the massive price of 1 Hive to enter a round!

Good luck Buzzers!

Oh Nice! I will make those changes tomorrow... and let you know here... Energy is running out, and people can see you reply anyway.

I have to enjoy a little bit of this "bug" :D

I don't think any of the issues in your post are that dramatic that people would be too adversely affected anyway. Thanks for spreading the Sloth Buzz love!

And yeah, enjoy your 'quiet' week in game.... having seen the way you play...i think you'll have some sloths pumping out honeycombs in no time :D

My second Hive API node has finished replaying... I will probably be paying attention to it for the next few days.

Corrections made! I can't stand be incorrect for the entire night while I know about it LOLOLOL...

Either way, Nice to know about the "SMOKER" LOL I was thinking it was delusional :D

It was grabbing that from somewhere but I could not figure out from where.

Will invite more people as you guys bring this to a picture-perfect plane!

Meanwhile! I am going to be a "surprise" this round :D

Oh, before I forget, did you manage to grab a sloth pet at Slothbuzz.com? Who did you get?

Also, check out the Hangs section, can post to Threads/Snaps/Waves and even Dbuzz directly from there (with 1000 character limit)! We do shortform better than the rest :D

Oh..oh...oh...and since you got a pet, watch him race for the golden egg at the radio, some smooth listening to help you focus on writing posts, and a slothly distraction when you need a second to relax!
