driftwood is quite common on the shore here because the Lågen river empties into the Larviksfjord and any driftwood from the river is carried by the current and much of it washes up at various points on the outer parts of the fjord. these shots are the underside of an uprooted tree that washed up some years ago and has been on the shore since then

i took these photos with my S22 phone camera in color and have edited them to black and white. they were taken deliberately slightly out of focus and have not been blurred during editing but among other things i have increased the contrast considerably
