hands behind the back
this is the first time i am posting in this community. i take quite a few color shots that when reviewed, i wonder how they would look in black and white. sometimes i set the camera to black and white before the shot but these two pairs were taken in color at the local market and later converted to black and white. apart from the hands, i like the texture of the shirt and the wrist band while the foot below, clearly somebody else's, adds a lighter touch

in black and white the hands stand out more. i reduced the highlights because of the fingernails. i think the jeans look better in b/w
i like how the small fish on the cloth under the hand seem to support it while they are jumping above it. and the coarse texture of the cloth complements the smooth skin and bracelet. i didn't even notice the ear until the ear i reviewed the shot but i was lucky with it and how it echoes the folds in the hand. it add a lot to the image

in black and white the texture of the cloth is very present while the hand seems to have gone into soft focus. i did not intend that, i am using the basic edit program on windows photos. part of me likes the result and part of me wonders if i got the focus wrong. maybe she moved her hand as i took it. anyway the conversion from color to black and white has it's challenges and for each photo they are different
i took these shots with my S22 phone. i'd be happy for anybody who could give some feedback.
They do look way better in black and white!!!!
thanks and yes, it's strange how that works.
