entry smash 422

we were visiting a friend at their cabin recently and @hindavi became interested in these two bird figures. when she positioned them this way i noticed the cute shadow they cast on the nearby wall and quickly snapped a shot.

as she was moving them around i took a few more shots. most were not special enough to post here but after viewing them later on at home there was one shot in particular that raised my curiosity.

the two figures are no longer facing each other but roughly perpendicular to each other. however the shadows indicate that the birds are facing approximately the same direction and the tails are closely aligned. it doesn't make sense to me but the physics don't lie. the shot has not been edited or manipulated in any way so i am left pondering the positioning of the light source. i can't quite make out how it's possible. another one of the many mysteries in the world of shadows.

happy hunting
