sometimes there are quite interesting shadows among the cars parked along the streets in town. this is from the street where we live, but in the center of town. in this case the shadows of the cars are not too shabby but it is what connects the shadows of the two cars that i find the most interesting. it may look like the shadow of some fencing but it is actually from the eave of the roof of the house out of view. to prevent snow from falling on the sidewalk, and potentially on people that happen to be walking by, the houses close to the road are required to install snow fences that hold the snow in place until it eventually melts. obviously they serve little purpose in the summer when i took this shot but they do cast a well placed shadow
