entry smash 391: Shadow's chew toy

this is an old shot from the house where i grew up from before it was sold. my mother and her black Labrador, Shadow lived there at the time. Shadow's chew toy (featured on the patio table) regularly gets a good workover. it has held up quite well given how much use it gets. luckily for it there are a couple of other items that get occasional her oral attention but this is the clear favorite. i hope you all like it as much as she does, after all Shadow is a fellow hunter

love how Shadow turned that patio chew into her number one toy, it keeps bouncing back even after a real woekover. The durability is kind of wild < for something that gets that much use, almost like it trains her jaw, no wonder for a hunter. Reading this brings back the house vibe so well, warm and a bit scrappy, and I’m defnitely here for it.

no both Shadow and my mother have passed on and the house is sold. it's sad but nobody in the family is nearby.

I’m so sorry, that’s a heavy ache to carry when both Shadow and your mom are gone and the house is no longer yours.
Even if everyone’s scattered, their still a thread that keeps you close through stories and hte small rituals.
Hold the heARt of those moments, they still glow on quiet days.
