there's only 1 species of birds that we see in our garden both in Norway and India. in both countries there is a wire near our house- in Norway it's in front while in India in back. both of the wires are a favorite place for barn swallows Hirundo rustica to sit in pairs or groups. when they first have landed they usually remain long enough for us to get a few shots from rather close hold. they nest in under our roof tiles in Norway but these shots are from India. we are particularly glad to have them around the house where they feed on flies, mosquitoes and aphids.

That scene is so cute—seeing a pair of little birds. They have such beautiful plumage. In my neighborhood, I only see pigeons, some black birds, parakeets, and parulatas; I see other species when I leave the city. Best regards.
perhaps you are lucky to have parulatas nearby. i have only read about them and their nice songs. we put out water to attract birds and they really appreciate it.
