What a beautiful beast you have π€ππππ And I absolutely agree about the vintage machinesbeing very superior: my 1960 Brother machine is about to receive an upgrade, as I've finally been able to order a belt for the treadle table - so excited! Thanks for sharing such great information - and wonderful detailed photos - it's a joy to see someone else's passion around machinery like this!

Thank you ! I seem to have inadvertently started collecting old Singer sewing machines π
I didn't mean to, I just wanted one reliable machine that I could use occasionally when I didn't want to hand-dew a long seam, but then I fell in love with the quality of the engineering.
I think I might find one on Facebook marketplace or somewhere that is so broken that I can take it apart and try to fix it without worrying that I might break a good machine. Then maybe I can post a full restoration guide with lots of photos that might help other people bring these amazing machines back to life π
