If you have followed me for a while you may have seen me post about a game called Polyverse. Well this post is to refresh everyone on what Polyverse is and why I am bullish on it. But before we go ANY further, disclaimer time:

I am a mod for their discord server so I am biased.
I own a few of their Genesis NFT collection.
I highly recommend everyone interested to Do Your Own Research before investing anything into any project!

What is Polyverse

Polyverse is a web3 browser based game. Their NFT collection runs on the Ethereum Blockchain but the games backend runs on the WAX blockchain.

On May 7th, 2024 the team held the first NFT Mint with their Genesis NFT collection on Ethereum.

On April 15th, 2025, the held their TGE (Token Genesis Event) which included airdropping their $PTC token to everyone holder of the original 888 Genesis Character NFT's. It was a bonkers day for sure.

What Is The Gameplay

The game itself is a endless wave type strategy game. You are in a underground shelter and you fight wave after wave of bad guys. The goal is to survive as many waves as possible and at the end you get loot.

You can craft weapons. You can upgrade weapons. You will eventually be able to buy/sell/trade those weapons and other in game items as each in game item is it's own NFT. (more on that later).

When the main game launches there will be monthly leaderboard type events. Where you battle to climb the ranks and earn more rewards.

Keep in mind that the game is very much in "Pre-Beta" currently. And there are already a bunch of bugs we found in the Alpha and pre-beta that were yet to be put into the mainnet game (seen below)

What Is The Setting

Not much is known at this point but there are books coming out in September 2025 that will add more story to the meta. But short version is there was an apocolyptic event on Earth and it's inhabitants fled underground into safe "Shelters". I would assume than that the endless waves you are battling are the radiated bad guys coming from the Earth and trying to get into your Shelter.

What we know so far is that there was some sort of Alien invasion on Earth, which caused a worldwide catastrophe and

The underground Shelter has it's own ecosystem, with stores and resource gathering. From what I can tell though the game is not multiplayer where you will see other real people in it. There was talk months ago about Guilds or Alliances and to the best of my knowledge that is still something on the roadmap.

How To Play

During the Alpha versions of the game the only way you could play was to be whitelisted. You needed to own a Genesis NFT and then submit a ticket and the team would send you a Testnet Character NFT to play with during Alpha.

During the Beta, has been launched on Ethereum and you will need your own Genesis NFT to play with. The final game when launched will be the same where you need a Character NFT to be able to play.

When the Beta is over and the game has been updated again then the Main game will launch for the world! But there is more! The Genesis NFTs were their first Collection but there has always been a plan for a 2nd Generation of Character NFT's. While the Genesis NFT's were limited to 888 total supply the 2nd Generation will have a bigger supply and in theory cost less.

You will also have a 3rd option to play the game. You can purchase 10,000 PATIC tokens and stake those tokens and it will get your a 2nd Generation Character NFT ingame. You will be able to level up that character just like everyone else. Then let's say you are done playing and want to get out of the web3 space. You have 2 options. You can either unstake your 10,000 PATIC and then sell it. Or you can withdraw your now levelled up Character NFT and sell that (but in doing so you will lose your 10,000 PATIC).

So the team is giving people who don't own a Character NFT a way to start playing the game while also increasing the demand for PATIC, which is nice to see.

However, it has been stated that the original 888 Genesis NFT's will be the strongest starter characters in the game. Each Character NFT has specific traits, and those traits boost your various attacks or speed or resource gathering. So

A True RPG On Web3

The game runs on WAX as I already talked about and the Character NFT's are on ETH. But the reason for that is ingenious and one of main reasons I am so stoked for this game to fully come out.

As you play the game your Character obtains Experience which levels them up. As they level up they gain more HP and better stats. When you character gets levelled up though it saves it to the NFT. So if you wanted to sell your character down the road the person who is buying it, is buying a levelled character and retains all the work you put into it. So that means the NFT will only go up in value. And remember there are only 888 Genesis NFT's.

But that isn't all. When you complete a run you have a chance at obtaining a few things.

• Weapon Blueprints
• Safebits
• Boosters

The other part to the game is obtaining and creating great weapons. The stronger you are the more levels you can survive and thus gain more experience and more items. Rinse and Repeat!

Blueprints are what you create weapons from. There is 1 specific Blueprint per weapon. The Blueprint gets destroyed when you create a weapon from it.
Boosters come in 4 Rarities, Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. They are used to increase the minimum stats of a weapon when used during a Blueprint Weapon creation.
Safebit are used to reroll the stats of already created weapons. You can keep using them to reroll the stats and they make sure the new stats are not lower then the previous stats.

But what is even more fun is that each Weapon/Blueprint/Safebit/Booster are NFT's on the WAX blockchain. They also have mutable traits so as you level up the weapons let's say they retain that info. So down the road you will be able to sell those weapon NFT's on the secondary market to earn even more.

Polyverse is truly designed to reward the active players who put in the time.

Updates so far

There has been A LOT that has happened over the last year. There is no way I include it all but I will do my best to cover most of them or at least everything I can remember 😁

Genesis Mint

April 15th, 2024 the Genesis Mint happened and people bought up the 888 Genesis NFT's. Owning these NFT's did just mean you get to play the game when it released later. It also enabled you to earn PATIC tokens for holding it and also for staking it. I won't get too much into the weeds with it but basically, if you owned 1 Genesis NFT and staked it by the time the TGE happened you would get roughly 121,000 PATIC tokens every month for 10 months. OR 1,210,000 PATIC tokens per NFT. That incentivized people to buy and HODL their Genesis NFT's and it was a success

The Pre-Alpha and Alpha

Those versions of the game were a great success. We found countless bugs and they were squashed. The Beta version of the game is set to launch in May 2025.

Real Life Collaborations:

Token Genesis Event (TGE):

That took place in April 15th, 2025. The PATIC ($PTC) token was launched and distributed to those who were holding a Genesis NFT. The price of PATIC has been holding around $0.002 give or take since and it's nice to see.

Airdrop Campaign:

Before the TGE there were 3 campaigns created to incentivize people to engage with Polyverse. The 3 campaigns were:

• Create2Airdrop
  • This involved creating content on Social Media about Polyverse each day.
• Play2Airdrop
  • This was playing the Alpha game and posting screenshots of how far you got in it each day.
• Engage2Airdrop
  • This was purely just interacting in the Discord server and talking and helping teach others about Polyverse or just generally being active in the community.

Those 3 campaigns resulted in 3,465,000 PATIC being distributed to the people who participated. And at $0.002 that is roughly $6,930 worth of their PTC token being given out for just being active.

Buyback Program

There was another program between the TGE and the 2nd month's airdrop. Where if you were willing you could sell back your Genesis NFT to the Polyverse team for $700 and you would get the following perks for LIFE!

Why would someone do that? Well because each Genesis NFT gets the 121,000 PATIC each month and at that time there was 9 months left. So take 121,000 PATIC and times that by 9 months and then times that by $0.002 and you get $2,178 worth of PATIC each Genesis NFT would still get over the next 9 months.
So the team was looking to basically give people an easy $700 now in exchange for not waiting 9 months to get all of their $2,178. Surprisingly enough to me there were a lot of people who took the team up on this offer. So now the Polyverse team has those Genesis NFT's and is earning the PATIC from then and the token and NFT's will stay in their Treasury until further notice.

Creator Campaign

As of today (June 2nd) there is the first Creator Campaign! What is a creator campaign? Well the Polyverse team is calling any and all content creators to write, generate, create, post about Polyverse on Twitter. Doing so will allow you to earn part of the 1,000,000 PATIC tokens that are up for grabs during this campaign!

There are a few pre-requisites though,

• You need to join the Discord Server
• You need to fill out the form to receive the "T1" role for the campaign
• Once you post on Twitter/X you share that in the discord with the bot.

This campaign is based on total impressions. So if you are someone who has a large Twitter following then I highly suggest you join the Discord server and start posting about Polyverse. It's free $PATIC!

Beta Tournament

This is the biggest thing that is up and coming and should be live either this week or hopefully next week. We don't know much but if it is anything like the last tournament the prizes are going to be BANANAS!

Basically what it will boil down to though is playing the Beta and levelling up. The more you play the higher you upgrade your character and the more rewards you can get.

You do need a Genesis NFT though to participate in the Beta.

The Alpha

I mentioned before but the Alpha came and went and it was a blast. I recorded the gameplay footage of the Alpha for purely documentation purposes. I split it into 2 videos where 1 is the actual gameplay and 1 is just me walking around the Shelter to show off all the areas.

The Beta

The Beta was launched on May 19th 2025. There are a select few of us who have been grinding like madmen trying to level up our characters as much as possible so that when the Beta Tournament launches we have a upperhand! This is a recording that I made when the Beta launched. It is still rough as it was during the time that they were making changes from the alpha into the beta. It's the same walkthrough I posted earlier in this article as well!

That YouTube channel is mine that I am starting to post videos in regards to my Web3 gaming experience. So if you are keen to follow me there I wouldn't say no. Right now it just has Polyverse and Splinterlands content. I only have 7 videos and I plan to keep recording and also too record more games and such that I use in web3 (including Hive but not JUST hive).
