Inktober 8: Stinky

avatar

Wow it's day 8 and I'm still here OwO very proud of myself for this because maybe I can get halfway through at least! Fortunately the doctor and most of my co-workers have stopped me from going to the gym this week so I'm just confined t my dorm room after work and I think it's a good thing this week because that means longer drawing time for me!

Today's prompt is stinky and I honestly would have drawn my cat but he's not stinky enough 🤣 otherwise he wouldn't be sleeping with me every night that I'm home 🤣

I originally wanted to draw stinky shoes and feet, actually but then I remembered I am terrible with drawing feet so.... Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. So I ended up drawing stinky market fish 🤣

Materials: Colored pens, acrylic pens, yellow liquid ink
Duration: 3 hours

I did take a bit of time with this because I wanted to try out this pen set my coworkers gave me because they really needed me to behave in my room last night (I still went out for dinner) but I did behave in the end 😅

But before I went out, I made sure to start an ink layer and I left it to dry while I had dinner

I used the new yellow pen but it was a little too dry for my liking. Not bright enough. It's a dark yellow that could actually be used to write and would still be seen so I used that as my sketching pen 🤣

Then I layered it up with an orange and green layer then a blue layer but just a bit

I eventually couldn't do more with the new pens so I went back to the pens I owned and my man said the jump in realism was almost instant because the pens I have are not more on the brighter and more opaque side of pens and I just love that because it's not easy to find these pens.

So after lots and lots of layering and adding minor details that I obsess about, I went on my highlighting Saga with the acrylic pens

Then lo and behold OwO my art was finished before 10pm aaannnddd I still got to paint a little and sketch a little for tomorrow's prompt. So hopefully they still confine me tonight so that I can still focus on my art and hopefully finish a few prompts in advance becaauusseee we're celebrating my sister's 18th birthday this weekend and I want to be there for her 🤗 it's her debut and she'll finally be able to be jailed if she does shit so definitely something worth celebrating here 🤗
This is all for my inktober for today. I hope I can do the write up for my Pokemon run tonight too because I promised that 🥲🥲

Love it! I'm always amazed at how you go from the initial sketch to the finished art! So impressive!

I'm so jealous; I wish I could art! The best !SLOTH can do is scrawl some words on a page and hope someone appreciates them, haha!

PS: Thanks for using #slothbuzz, now to encourage all the other inktober creators :D

It takes way too much of my patience and questioning the process before I get to the finished product and the self interrogation is rarely pretty 🤣🤣
Oh but there aren't a lot doing inktober this year, papa sloth
