Just a cool caterpillar

This is the bizarre caterpillar of the dice moth.
I'm not entirely sure I captured it, as the body is a bit flat looking.

It took me a while to get the sketck right. It's an odd shape.

I started with basic colours

Then I aded some dark to the dark parts of the body.

The light was folded almost like cloth.

The next step was adding all the hair and such.However it was add this point I realized my canvas was much to small for the size of the things that come out of this guy so I shrunk the cattapiller a little smaller.

And after that it was some shading to the flags and making more little hairs, and darkening the background.

The bug is perfect every detail is the best I had seen so far. Not to mention that blade of grass or stalk the bug is crawling on. The light hitting on some parts and the shadow very spotless. I love this drawing @artofkylin looks like a page from a children's book. Keep it up

hats off to you Ky, the amount of details you put into this piece I can imagine would take me a lot of time to do on my own. Very inspiring indeed. and yes I agree with Thethei this could be a preview to a storybook that you will do in the future, you got it within in you.
