Worldbuilding Weekend Prompt #143 - Gift Wrapping

Welcome to the next in an ongoing series of writing prompts in the Worldbuilding community !

I'm aiming to post one of these each Sunday. They aren't a replacement for the excellent daily prompts from @worldbuilding they're just an extra opportunity if you have a writing itch you want to scratch. 😀

The prompt this week is - Gift Wrapping

Another seasonal prompt for you ! Tell me how people in your setting wrap gifts ? Here on Earth, we've got all kinds of traditions; different types of wrapping paper for different occasions, bows, little cards with the greeting on (or sometimes just messages written in Sharpie on the paper !). In some cultures there are some very specific traditions - red or gold paper, red envelopes for money gifts, little paper bags etc.

So how do they do it in your fictional setting ? Are there rituals or traditions around the way gifts are given, as well - particular words used, or ways to express thanks (who remembers sitting down on Boxing day to write the "thank you" letters ? But it's fiction, so you can have fun with the prompt - tell me a story, describe how it's done kike a Wiki article, whatever takes your fancy !
