Saturday Savers 2025 Progress Report - Week 42
It's Sunday, and time for my #SaturdaySavers update !
Here's my table of progress for the week;
How Did The Week Go ?
So this was the week when I'd planned to force-mojo myself and post every day.
That was the plan.
The reality was that on Sunday evening I was hit out of the blue by the worst flu I'd had for many years. I spent the week laid up in bed, only emerging to pack orders and deal with the crazily-badly timed website crash that happened on Thursday evening.
What it meant was that I totally missed the next stage of crypto crash. I came back to life on Saturday with about a week of my life pretty much missing, and was like "so what happened while I was in bed... oh shit..."
The crash actually dropped the price of HIVE below my stop-loss point for one brief moment. What initially bought it back up again was a weakening for a day or two in the price of Sterling relative to the US Dollar.
But I've still got Hive earnings coming in, and the price has recovered slightly. My plan for the next week is to post a bit more and get back into the saddle with curation.
I'm also starting to accumulate liquid HBD and liquid HIVE (mostly from converting Tribe tokens I don't collect and dust into SWAP.HIVE), with a view to testing withdrawal routes so I'm comfortable with how they work if I have to use them in a hurry. I think it's a case of starting to gradually recoup the cost of investment but without powering down or (for now) pulling HBD out of savings.
If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.
If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.
I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
