How Did The Week Go ?

Overall, this was a week of just trogging along. HP earnings were up slightly, but I've accepted that unless I win the lottery or find some other source of lots of fiat to put into it I'm incredibly unlikely to make my goal for the year.

But all the other metrics are doing just fine, which tells me that I probably just got carried away with the HP I thought I could earn. D'oh !

I'm still posting at least once each day. Real life continues to be crazy, so they tend to be posts that I can produce out of my head rather than ones needing lots of research or preparation. Although that means I'm posting in lower-earning communities, again I'm okay with that. Hive is a hobby, not a job ! If I wanted it to be a major source of income, I'd ransfer a few thousand pounds of fiat savings from an ISA or somewhere into HBD and let the compound interest do the rest !

BPUD

The whole BBH ecosystem is still one of my favourite Hive projects, and @bradleyarrow is doing a sterling job of keeping it growing and building. He's got witness nodes in Hive and Hive Engine (yes, Hive Engine has it's own separate witness nodes...), so vote for them if you can.

If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.

If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
