Hopefully I can be at 400 SP in a month but that will be tough.
I guess EOS is now live. It seems like in the future things could be between Steem, EOS and Ethereum but we shall see. I hear EOS is quicker but that's about all I know. I'm not sure if it has any apps on it yet. Right now I think Steem will win but it does look like EOS is formidable competition.

Regarding EOS, that might not be an immediate threat, i doubt that Dan's Steem 2.0 will be available before Q4, and then it might be an incentive for steem to evolve more rapidly, it has a big userbase already...

It will be interesting to see if Steem 2.0 does launch. I don't think you can ever have a perfect system so I will be extremely curious what scheme he sets up.

Haha, wasn't aware of dustsweeper, sounds usefull (maybe more usefull than other bots). But yes, in my ignorance, it's what i did wit comments in the past. I'd vote my self up, but looking at the comments, I'd still be on the bottom, so better save on VP;-)
Very useful and a lot easier than the normal bots. You can check out it's blog for details. This platform is not easy to succeed at. I don't think I could even explain everything I've done and the strategies I've used. I've probably done at least 1,000 math calculations as well and ran over 1,000 reports. lol

Good suggestion, i am trying out the dustsweeper, curious how / if it works out. One thing i have seen your vot power is very low, i mostly try to keep it over 80%, thats not your approach?
Nope. lol I think between 5% an 90% is good. People like upvotes, myself included. I get frustrated and unfollow some people when they don't upvote me.

I think upvotes are undervalued on here and voting power % is overvalued.

You could try and keep it over 50%. Then you can do like 20 votes a day instead of 10. With @dustsweeper now your votes can have more impact as well.

I see lots of potential for over $ 20 USD but Steemit has a way to go. This place is so much more then just a blogging site. I think it can be the next big social media site but alot needs to be changed.

What is wrong with the wallet?
I understand what SBD is ... its not needed. I know that sign ups are supposed to be addressed in the next hardfork. That doesn't mean they will be instant. I guess we will have to wait and see.
The wallet function needs to be simplified. SBD / Steem / Steem Power / USD value being shown, its too much.
Payouts on our post are paid to us in three different currencies and total value shown in USD. Thats four currencies we are dealing with. Remove SBD and payout post in 100 % Steem or Steem Power. This removes some of the values shown on posts and in our wallet and makes things less overwhelming for new users to the site and crypto in general.
One of the most common comments I get from new users is that they don't understand how the wallet works and its mostly due because there are too many currencies being used.
One currency with the USD value shown is plenty.
Or, the newbs could take a few weeks, read the faq/whitepaper and learn something rather than gut key functionality on the platform?

That would be asking too much. We live in an instant world with people with little patience. The average user isn't going to read the whitepaper. If Steemit doesn't change things like the wallet function its highly likely it stays a niche social media site while a clone site with a simple wallet pushes ahead.

I bought some EOS in November 2017. I'm already at 8.5 X my initial investment. Plus I get airdrops. Now with the mainnet launching I will get at least 17 (!!!) different airdrops!

Yeah I already received the EOSDAC one. It's worth about 1% of the value of EOS I was holding. Nice little extra. I have not yet looked into the Steemit alternative. But I do find it worrying that Dan Larimer has jumped ship. Makes me question the future of Steemit.

Is EOS your #1 holding? I'm still bullish on Steem. I think we are on a bit of an upswing now but it may be a while before we finally get some major traction.
My number one holding is BNB. That one in also grew 8.5 times in a few months time. LTC, BTC, VEN are in the positions after that. And then EOS.
Wow! 11 cents to $12 in 1 year. I'm a little surprised you have more VEN than EOS. I'd probably go with Steem EOS Ethereum and Bitcoin if I was going to put in a lot of money. Probably only 10% Bitcoin and probably about 50% Steem.
VEN is really solid. Much less risk than EOS and still good profits. EOS only has 21 final consensus nodes. That's bad. At the same time it also got a lot of good stuff. But I'm not 100% sold. VEN is actually my favorite crypto. Steem also went well. I put in 370 euros in nov and now it's worth 1300 euro. But I'm also not 100% sold on Steem. It's like EOS. Good and bad things.
You could copy and paste that and make a VEN vs EOS blog post. lol
I hear EOS can perform better than Steem as far as speed goes.
Right now I think Steem is the best crypto long term. Somebody like you might want to do trading though because I'm not convinced Steem can deliver in the short term although I do think it is undervalued presently but that could continue for a while.

It took me 100 days just to pay back the 15 borrowed Steem Power that Steemit gives to new users. 30 more days to get to the point I am today with 35 Steem Power so 20 SP in a month for me. Hopefully my progress speeds up again this month.

My first months on here I was just using the platform for collecting crypto bounties so that slowed my growth as I had no intentions of doing anything else with my account here. I plan on going back to doing at least one crypto bounty a week to start collecting more crypto.
Those bounties were fun. I'd be doing those every day still if I wasn't "prohibited" from winning. :(
Not those type of bounties. When new crypto ideas emerge they offer free crypto to those who spread the word. The bounties are " tasks " or " Jobs " you do in which you get paid in crypto for completing.
For example : I wrote an article or two about MRK coin and created numerous memes for the owners to use as they please. In return I got paid over 3000 MRK coins which were valued at $350 at the time I received them. Sadly they are only worth $132 today.
