Truthful Route 22: We learn about the Sovereign digimon and their role of sealing the Master. We meet one of them, and his human partner.

Digimon Survive is a Digimon Visual Novel with Turn-based strategy battles. It follows a group of children stranded in another world. They form bonds with the creators there called Digimon as they desperate attempts to find a way back home. I already finished one route of the game, and now I'm publishing my playthrough of the Truthful Route!

Digimon Survive is the darkest piece of Digimon media I ever consumed while still being PG13. What I love the most about Digimon Survive, is how it uniquely blends Digital Monsters with Japanese folklore. It's amazing how the idea of "child sacrifice" integrates seamlessly with Digimon lore. The specific Digimon they choose for this game enhance this theme.

Digimon Survive is the closest modern entry to the old school Digimon anime vibes. Though, more than the earlier Digimon anime series, the game reminds me more of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor series. In that series too, characters may die depending on your actions.

Truthful Route - 22: Sovereign of West - Baihumon

To find out more on how to free Miyuki from the Master's control, Miu suggests asking Jijimon. The group goes to the amusement park to find him, and he tells them about the sovereign Digimon... The master attacks the amusement park, and we had to run away in the sewers.

There we found the master's minions trying to attack some area in the depths, and exploring further we found Baihumon, the sovereign of the West! We find a ghost/soul of the human partner, who tells us he was a sacrifice made in the time of war, among four others... We take Baihumon's pwers to stop the Master, and fulfill this person's wishes.
