Sloth(buzz) Mining War and the Experimental Account

Image from the media section

I've been play Slothbuzz mining war for a couple of weeks now. It's not officially released but is playable.

It's a HIVE based game that is both a mining simulator/tycoon type game with pvp elements.

There are weekly rounds but I think the next few rounds are going to be shorter for testing I will not be playing the shorter rounds there is not enough time to catch up if you are not there right when it starts which for me is about 4 am.

The week long rounds do allow folks to catch up but there is still a pretty heavy advantage for those who get in first.

I am playing it on this account as well as this week I am also playing on the experimental @alicorn account. I started with just 1 HIVE n that account. That account has not used any boosters and started about 20 hours late. it's still in the top 10 and will likely finish in positions between 6 and 8.

I have received a little payout on that account from the game by staking honey in the pot . Honey is an in game currency. I haven't earned a lot this round but considering I put 1 HIVE in I have received n that account 0.16 from the game and i should received a few HIVE once the round finishes for reaching the top 10.

The @alicorn is still being built up and the game is a fun way to see where I can get to from 1 HIVE. I am powering up any earnings I get on that account as a beneficiary in posts so that i can track just the winnings from the game.

This account started about 6 or maybe 8 hours after the round started and I am currently in 3rd place. i will likley finish between 2nd and 4th place on this account.

There's not much learning curve to the game. I think it's pretty intuitive and it's explained pretty well on the website. That said there are different strategies folks can use.

It's a semi idle game. I personally just check on it throughout the day and buy more honey miners as I can. Others are more active in the PVP aspect.

Thing are still in the testing phase and are changing a lot. I will probably revisit this after the next few rounds when the next week long round starts after they've done some testing. The next time I play I may use some of the funds form my winning on the @alicorn account to get some boosters. though I do want that account for now to be more focused on staking honey than the leaderboard just to test it out.

I do kind of wish the leaderboard was points based instead of just top ten. It's based on honey production if they based that on a points system than a lot more people than the top 10 could be paid out proportionately. Just my opinion.

I !HOPE for the game to have a "peaceful" mode where a player cannot be attacked (as well as cannot attack) for an entire round, though the title of the game itself is "mining war" where there may be no "neutral" players !INDEED. 🦥🤯🤓 !ALIVE !MMB !BBH

If you keep your honeycomb less than 250 you should be safe from attacks. I have suggested they have separate leaderboards or ability to opt in /out of PVP. But in the meantime less than 250 honeycomb still keeps you safe from attacks. !BBH

For this round, I try to keep my Honeycomb less than 250, but it's too late to zero down the Honeycomb production because Sloths can be burned only the next round in the game. 💸🤯 !ALIVE !INDEED !HOPE

The dev seems to have plans to change that according to this comment. 🤯🦥 !MMB !BBH

You can deposit it in 'the honey thief" and get a little HIVE(usually) when the boss is killed. If they do change it and force PVP I won't play anymore. I only started playing because of that protection. we shall see. !PIZZA !BBH

I !INDEED use my Honeycomb on The Honey Thief, and get either exactly 0.000 HIVE or 0.001 HIVE whenever the boss is defeated. 🤯 I also won't play the game anymore if no matter how much players avoid PvP, they can still get raided by people who are almost always online. 🤯 !WEIRD !MMB !ALIVE !BBH

We plan on keeping the 250 honeycomb 'safety' limit, so no worries on that side!

As for the honey thief, sending minimal attacks to keep your honeycombs low will result in low share of the prize pool, it's aimed at players looking to do PvE with their honeycombs. So although you might not want to play PvP, honeycombs could still have a use case in defence and to get a bigger share of the boss rewards.

We feel there are plenty of opportunities for earning potential, from booster flipping to the 3 available payout pools. There is no 'correct' strategy, only 'your' strategy. Enjoy the buzz!

I'm glad you are enjoying it; it's great to hear, and thanks for making a post on your experience so far and thoughts for moving forward. The prize leaderboard isn't finalised; we're considering changing it to allow more players to earn with it. We need to ensure it's still worthwhile 'competing' for the top positions. A work in progress, much like most of the features. Lots of tweaks to be done, but we're moving in the right direction, we hope!

So far, the majority of the feedback has been pretty positive, which is a good sign, and bug reporting has been rather minimal overall. I think we've sorted 99% of issues presented thus far; still some polishing to be done!

Let's hope for a few more positive test rounds so we can look to expand the player base even further!

It's really not that buggy from a user perspective. Nothing catastrophic that I've seen. You guys are doing a great job. !BBH !PIXY
