Ecency VS Curation Week 3

This post is not financial advice. Please keep in mind I am doing this for fun.

I am a day late so I am using the last 7 days worth of data.

The formula is:
ecency-
Amount of HIVE received /HP x52. (or if it's done every two weeks x26). That will give and average APR for each time frame

Curation-
I will go with Hivestats.io for 7 day curation earnings. If I am doing bi weekly calculations, I will multiply that number by 2. then /HP x52 (or 26 if it's be weekly calculation)

If hivestats is down I will do the math manually or use an alternate source for the data like https://hiveearnings.botlord.eu/.

...........

Curation APR: 8.92

Effective HP: 2161.59
............
Ecency APR: 7.44
Ecency delegation: 1921.2
Points (approximate):1344.28
only points from delegation are counted

..................

This week the clear winner percentage wise is my own curation. I did, however, reduce the effective HP slightly. But I also increased the outgoing ecency delegation slightly as well.

I expect these numbers to fluctuate a bit over time but overall on average to be about the same.

If , theoretically they were exactly the same then ecency would be more profitable simply because of the points. Points take a while to accumulate but once you get enough you can use them for incoming delegation which obviously increases the amount of HP earned.

In general I pool my points. I combine them from other accounts and use them for a delegation on a selected account. An outgoing delegation of 2000 HP or close to it will be enough points to pay for the three month delegation with points with a little left over.

Of course you also earn points from using ecency which will help the points add up faster. You can use your points to tip other creators, too.
