Slothly Does It! 8 Years on Hive and buzzing more than ever!

Good evening, buzzers. I was just doing the rounds and noticed I'd missed an achievement from @hivebuzz. 8 years on Hive! Happy Birthday, Sloth!

8 Years on Hive

What 8 years it's been; things started slothly, posting through Dapps.buzz, without really knowing what Hive (yes, shht, we don't talk about the not hive) was! I just knew my blogs had to be worth reading and SEO efficient. Unfortunately, Dapps.buzz never really took off; the sloth took over. A few years later, a buzz was brewing, enough to make the Sloth Buzz. Hive was back on my radar, and I was determined to make a buzz!

Slothing in a little late, I missed Hive's 'highs' in both community usage and price. But Slothbuzz was born, the start of an adventure that's lasted years and never seems to disappoint! Now I need to check how long Slothbuzz has been running...

Slothbuzz journey through Hive

Just over 4 years for Slothbuzz! Wow, from the base community and token creation with the initial Hive-engine outpost, to today's Slothbuzz.com, a full Hive frontend, giving users the ability to buzz and earn even easier on Hive as a whole!

Sloth steps, not always in the right direction, but never stopping! That's what's been key to this Hive adventure. There have been times when things went ultra Sloth, close to a full stop. Then the buzz would kick in- some new idea, enough to make the Sloths buzz for long enough to pull something magical together.

This year has been the buzziest yet, with @slothbuzz hosting #SlothlySavers; every week has required at least one post. Some weeks even those were a struggle, a real sloth, but by having a focus, the buzz found its way to win.

SlothlySavers keeps the buzz alive

Along came Slothbuzz.com, then Sloths Mining War. Burning Slothbuzz tokens and kicking them into overdrive. So I can safely say this is my buzziest year on Hive ever! With HBD payouts stopping, I was able to turn my full attention to my HP and have been slothly rising, heading towards 25K HP and eventually a place within the top 500 HP holders!

Hive is buzzing!

I want Hive to thrive long term; the potential is huge. There are many criticisms of Hive's overall structure, but for me the focus is simple. Grow my HP and support other users to enjoy Hive! The social aspect never fails to amaze me. Connections are made across the world! A drive to work together to overcome obstacles and buzz on Hive.

Hive thrives on the 'little guys'. Yes, the whales control things, and their upvotes are highly sought after, but the main users are those in the middle. The little sloths, buzzing along, finding their niche and growing with like-minded sloths! Even those without a niche can buzz simply by being themselves; someone is always reading your posts, even if it doesn't feel like it.

8 years on Hive, and it's only just beginning!

8 years, it doesn't feel like it. I've had a buzzing time along the way, connected with some awesome people who have helped shape my time on Hive and beyond. I'm glad I've had the experience of being a Hive user and project builder. Sloth steps, together we can make Hive buzz! Let's look forward to what the next 8 years have in store; I have a feeling we haven't even really started to see the buzz Hive can create!

Until next time,
Sloth out!
