SENT Is Powering The Sentient Open AI Infrastructure
Sentient is the blockchain-based ecosystem built around the decentralized Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) vision and a developer network known as THE GRID. It was in the spotlights for months!
The project is designed to let model builders, data providers, researchers, and other contributors collaborate on AI models and tools in an open environment, rewarding fairly the contributions that genuinely add value.
Sentient operates through THE GRID, a decentralized AI infrastructure where contributors can upload models, tools, and datasets. The economic layer, powered by $SENT, coordinates incentives.
The core idea behind Sentient is simple but ambitious: align incentives so that people who genuinely improve the AI ecosystem... by building, researching, or contributing valuable resources
At the center of the ecosystem is $SENT, the native utility token. The TGE was highly expected and many big KOLs got big numbers for yapping about Sentient last winter!
It powers governance by allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades and ecosystem decisions, enables staking so participants can support the network and earn rewards, and is used to access premium AI services and data within the Sentient platform.
The total supply of $SENT is fixed at 34,359,738,368 tokens, meaning no additional tokens will ever be minted beyond that cap. From that massive amount... I've got 2454 tokens!

The $SENT airdrop was a distribution of free tokens to early participants and community members who were involved with the project before its broader launch. Was it good?
Like many Web3 projects, Sentient used an airdrop to bootstrap adoption, decentralize ownership, and reward people who contributed early rather than speculators or bots.
By allocating a large portion of the supply to early users, Sentient aims to ensure that governance and network value aren’t concentrated in the hands of a few insiders.
Eligibility focused on people who were active in Sentient Chat and community channels, contributors such as developers, builders, and researchers, and community members who showed genuine engagement rather than passive participation.
I got my slice for testing the grid before it went mainstream, and as I promised to do this year... I cashed out! Maybe $53.65 is not a lot... but was honest work! Every little helps!
