idOS Network & Horizen Labs Are Reinventing KYC
I discovered Idos Network through Wallchain and has been a good journey so far. From the discovery of ZK KYC to using Horizen tech... I enjoyed every single step! Let me tell you about it!
A lot of people have been asking about Wallchain, what Quacks are, and whether campaigns like Warden or idOS worth actually worth farming! I always recommend DYOR...
However... here’s the simple breakdown. Wallchain is basically an AttentionFi platform that tracks mindshare around crypto projects on X and rewards, as the platform tries to measure meaningful contribution.
If you consistently talk about projects, explain ideas, and help bring attention to them, you earn points through the Quacks system and move up the leaderboard.
Engagement around idOS topics was lower than with hype-driven projects, but worked in my favor. When a campaign isn’t flooded consistent contributors have better chances of ranking well.
One of the best campaigns I joined was with the idOS Network. I managed to build a nice stash of $IDOS simply from quacking and from holding Quack Heads NFTs. Put $IDOS on HODL mode!
I liked Idos because it was noticeably less saturated and it combined Wallchain mindshare with actual product interaction. That combination made the experience much more interesting.
It wasn’t just about posting content, but also about understanding what the project is trying to build. The top 1000 quackers made it into the rewards pool... and I was top half!
With one thousand spaces available for epoch Omega, the competition felt a lot more manageable. Fewer people were aggressively farming it, the leaderboard pressure was lower.
So I've made the cut and staying consistent with the campaign paid off for me. I ended up earning 3674 $IDOS just from talking about decentralized KYC, participating in the campaign, and holding NFTs.
For a campaign that wasn’t extremely competitive, that felt like a pretty solid outcome. Got 1165 $IDOS as epoch contributions and 2510 tokens for holding three Quack Heads!
Another thing that made the campaign stand out is the problem idOS is trying to solve. Traditional KYC systems in crypto and fintech are messy, and being able to reuse it is the goal!
Users have to submit the same personal documents again and again to different platforms, while those platforms store sensitive data in separate databases that can potentially be exposed or leaked.
The goal of idOS is to build a decentralized identity layer where users can complete verification once and then reuse that identity across multiple Web3 applications.
Instead of constantly sharing sensitive information, users hold their credentials and can prove certain things about themselves when needed. Sounds like something we do at ZKVerify right?
People can prove that they have passed KYC or meet compliance requirements without repeatedly exposing all of their personal data. This is a vision worth supporting.
This is why I claimed my stash of $IDOS and put it in HODL mode. Once the staking page was up, I went there and added 3,600 tokens into the vault, going long term.
A big part of this system relies on zero-knowledge technology, which allows verification without revealing the underlying data. I said about ZKVerify because ... idOS uses that system!
idOS works with infrastructure and tooling developed alongside teams like Horizen Labs, who specialize in building zero-knowledge and blockchain infrastructure.
Their tools help support the privacy-preserving systems that allow identity verification to happen securely while still protecting user data. The topic of ZK-based KYC also has real long-term relevance in Web3.
