Dear Old Wallet!

Dear old wallet, I rushed into minting a shiny NFT because FOMO hit harder than common sense and minutes later I got drained! Lost money and dignity included. What is dead may never die!

I had an expensive tuition in Web3 University, but that taught me to double-check links, slow down, and never trust hype. Rest easy ghost of my portfolio. What went wrong since 2020?

I still remember staring at my screen at 1 AM thinking I had found the next big mint. I connected my wallet withouth thinking and approved the transaction, paid gas, and waited for the NFT to appear. Nothing showed up.

Refreshed once, twice, and then I opened my wallet history and my stomach dropped. An approval I had blindly signed gave access to drain my assets. Within minutes, the ETH I'd been stacking for months was gone.

I spent the next hour checking block explorers, revoking permissions, and blaming myself for rushing because of FOMO. That wallet still exists, untouched since that night. I never recovered a penny from it.

It was an expensive lesson: verify links, read what you're signing, and never mint half asleep chasing hype. Goodbye, old wallet. Should I thank for remembering me a horible day?

These are some harsh teachings that we learn being in a space that is developing and growing. It seems that the saying "never look a gift horse in the mouth" it is not so correct in the digital age.
