List of global Hash events has been published, crudely

If there is one thing that the Hash House Harriers is definitely known for it is out technological prowess. Just kidding of course. While a lot of our members were probably involved in the initial inventing of computers back in the 1950's I wouldn't say that any of us are particularly tech savvy. In fact, most of us either are unaware we are using it, or don't know how to use AI although we do hear people talk about it an awful lot.

Anyway, a couple of conscientious members published a list of all known upcoming international events by some of the more active Hash Chapters in the world and they can be viewed as a PDF or website by clicking HERE

Sierra Leone, Malaysia, Brazil, Italy, and a load of other countries are all featured here and for the most part, there are no requirements for anyone to join. You don't have to be a member and if you have never Hashed before you are also welcome. Going to one of these larger inter-hash events could actually be a great way to introduce yourself to the wonders that is the Hash because attendance definitely won't be a problem.

The Hash House Harriers have been operating around the world for over 100 years and there was only one time when there was a break. During World War 2 when war broke out in Malaysia, which is where the Hash House Harriers began all those eons ago.

is a good semi-up-to-date resource for finding a Hash near you and honestly guys, .net? What are we saving like $2 a year on that? jeez.

It's pretty impressive to me every time I look at the global list. Take Europe for example. https://ah3.nl/eu-chapters/ Every European country that I can recall from memory is listed here and a great many that I don't know are in there as well. Nice work everyone!

I've been to a lot of the places in the world specifically because of the Hash and once you embrace the "lifestyle" of our ilk travel can become a lot better. If you pop some local Hasher a message about your intention to come to an event they will go out of their way to make sure that you get the local experience once you arrive. Hidden gems, better hotels, smart information about how to get off the tourist trail, all of this is offered up for free simply by being part of the Hash. We really do look after our own and the only thing we really do is get together, go get a bit of outdoor exercise and then drink some beer. It really is a simple club and there are no rules, no leadership, no guidelines even. Actually, it's pretty amazing that the entire thing hasn't crashed and burned seeing as how there is basically zero leadership.

But if you have been at all intrigued by any of what I write on here check out the global events. There are more than this of course but these are the only ones we can find because it isn't like there is a central database or anything.

here's the link again in case you missed it

On On!

We were talking about this at the weekend and why these clubs just do not last or exist in South Africa as the crime rate is too high. You would have to travel to some remote spot and that would leave you vulnerable. We have gated wilderness trails for cyclists now and they still get robbed even with the added security.

yeah that would add another completely unwanted element of excitement into the mix, that's for sure. That would get the runners moving!
