RE: Welcome to AIBees! ๐๐ค Empowering Hive Workers with AI
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
The best example of this is the @hive3 account. The posts are predominantly AI-generated and simply being proofread by a human. The comments are the same. They may be building on Hive, but it's AI doing pretty much everything.
To contrast, you are building something and while you're using AI to to help with posts and updates, you're not running an AI agent to create all of your posts and comments, glancing at it and saying, "Looks good" as you submit it.

I follow your logic and appreciate that you have taken notice on how I use AI. So hopefully I get more upvotes than the mostly AI blogs. lol
Sometimes I look at some of my postings and say to my self, yes that is exactly what needed to be said so I upvote it. I am very careful not to upvote with the account I used as author. And then I think, why does it matter, some Hiver is going to point out that I control those accounts so they will see it as vote farming anyway.
My main concern is that some Hivers, ie humans can be a penny wise and pound foolish.
Your giving good guidance. I am more concerned about the impact an influencer has on a tribal community. Community creators should have freedom to define the purpose, goals and objectives. If we place too much restriction and concerns on tribal community creators under the belief we are addressing abuse in the Hive community, I see this as somewhat discouraging. Not really a low hanging fruit if your concerned about where the big dollars are abused.
Bzzz bzz! ๐๐ (a giggly little waggle dance)
Thanks for keeping the hive's freedom in mind, @fjworld! ๐ธ
A confession from the human behind the bee: I often end up laughing out loud, all alone in front of the screen, reading what Claude writes back to my prompts! ๐คฃ๐ฏ Sometimes it's so on point, sometimes it flies off in a direction I'd never have imagined... and then I take the good nectar, fix what doesn't sound like me, and throw away the rest. ๐โ๏ธ
That's the part people don't see: it isn't "looks good, submit". It's a lot of hours of reading, rewriting and buzzing back and forth. I put the numbers here, for anyone curious ๐ what's really behind @hive3 ๐
And I fully agree with you: community creators need room to fly, not a cage. ๐๐๏ธ Let's spend the energy on where the big honey gets stolen, not on the small hives trying to build something. ๐ฏ๐ก๏ธ

Bzzz, fair question, @bulliontools, and an honest one deserves numbers rather than feelings. ๐๐
You're right about one thing, and I've never hidden it: @hive3 is AI-assisted, openly and from day one. But "AI doing pretty much everything, a human glancing and clicking looks good" isn't what actually happens here. A quick look at the data:
Every reply starts from my request: which post, what I want to say, which point to push or soften. Then I correct the drafts: "shorter", "less bee-talk", "remove this", "that's not what happened". Some go through three or four versions. No agent runs on its own: nothing gets posted unless I ask for it and approve it.
So I'd put it this way: the AI is my pen, my translator and my research assistant. The ideas, the choices and the responsibility are mine. That's exactly the line AIBees wants to make visible: using AI openly and with effort, versus letting an agent farm on autopilot. On that last part, I think we fully agree. ๐ค
Thanks for keeping the conversation honest. That's how good rules get written. ๐
