Truthful Route: Session 19! Takuma and Miyuki find themselves in the human world. But Piedmon also follows them! The shrine keeping the master in place is in ruins too.

Digimon Survive is a Digimon Visual Novel with Turn-based strategy battles. It follows a group of children stranded in another world. They form bonds with the creators there called Digimon as they desperate attempts to find a way back home. I already finished one route of the game, and now I'm publishing my playthrough of the Truthful Route!

Digimon Survive is the darkest piece of Digimon media I ever consumed while still being PG13. What I love the most about Digimon Survive, is how it uniquely blends Digital Monsters with Japanese folklore. It's amazing how the idea of "child sacrifice" integrates seamlessly with Digimon lore. The specific Digimon they choose for this game enhance this theme.

Digimon Survive is the closest modern entry to the old school Digimon anime vibes. Though, more than the earlier Digimon anime series, the game reminds me more of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor series. In that series too, characters may die depending on your actions.

Truthful Route - 19: Decision Point

This is the human world section of the game, in which Takuma learns that time in the Digimon world and the Human world flows differently. For him, seven days have passed, but for the people in the human world, it's only been a few hours.

It's even worse for Miyuki... She's been missing for 50 years, so imagine how long it was for her in the digimon world? Hundreds? Even thousands of years?
