Digimon Survive [Let's Play] - 38 - Connected Worlds
Takuma and Miyuki discover that the human world isn't safe either! Digimon Survive is getting more intense!!
Digimon Survive is a Digimon Visual Novel with Turn-based strategy battles. The game follows a group of children who find themselves in another world, and their desperate attempts to find a way back home. The children find themselves involved with monsters, both as partners and enemies.

This is the darkest piece of Digimon media I ever consumed, and Cybersleuth had pretty dark stuff too. Digimon Survive fuses the concept of Digital Monsters with Japanese folklore. It's amazing how the idea of "child sacrifice" integrates seamlessly with Digimon lore. The specific Digimon they choose for this game enhance this theme.
Digimon Survive is the closest modern entry to the old school Digimon anime vibes. Though, more than the earlier Digimon anime series, the game reminds me more of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor series. In that series too, characters may die depending on your actions.
Below you can watch my playthrough of Digimon Survive, and the link to the whole playlist.
THIS PLAYTHROUGH IS MODDED: I installed the Improved Translation Mod and the Quirky Dialogue Font Mod. This playthrough should look a bit different from the official version.

38 - Connected Worlds
Miyuki and Takuma discover that they're now in the human world, and that for Takuma, only a few hours have passed in the week he spent in the other world, but for Miyuki decades have passed since she was here last... Imagine being transported 50 years into the future.

The they watch on TV some locations in the real world that have been affected in the digimon world as well... Miyuki explains that both worlds are connected.

To make matters worse, they also discover that Piedmon has come with them to the human world, and only Agumon and Takuma area able to stop him!

Such an intense battle!!!

⚠️⚠️⚠️ ALERT ⚠️⚠️⚠️
HIVE coin is currently at a critically low liquidity. It is strongly suggested to withdraw your funds while you still can.
I do confess that I didn't watch the complete video, but after 10 minutes of watching, I feel like it is more text-oriented. The atmosphere is great and art too; however, do you think I will be able to enjoy it? How about the overall pacing? Does it get boring at some points? It's episode #38, so I guess you are enjoying it. Still, how do you rate this overall?
I'm sorry for so many questions 😂. I want to play a game like this, I just don't know which one to start with. Internet is full of opinions 🥲.
Well, I don't expect people here to watch all of it. These videos are mostly for archive purposes. If you're gonna watch these, I recommend you play the game instead.
Anyway, this is my playthrough of Digimon Survive, it's a Visual Novel so of course it'll be text oriented. If you don't mind reading, and like monster collecting media (Pokemon for example) I recommend this game.
How about the pacing? Do you get bored while playing it? Like occasionally or does it keep you enacted?
There are boring parts, and every now and then characters seem to recap stuff. Clearly not a game meant to be binged. But all voice-acted parts are engaging.
