RE: Will Hunting (1997) Is One Of The Best Character Driven Films Of The Nineties. It Has An Incredible Cast, A Great Story, And Some Of The Most Genuine Conversations You Will Find In A Movie.

Good Will Hunting is not a movie, it is a rite of passage! I dare anyone of a suitable age bracket to watch that movie and not be irrevocably changed by the contents of that 126 mins runtime.

Losing out on the Oscar nominations to Titanic was a bitter pill to swallow, the movie deserved so much more recognition. Robin Williams' performance in that movie was akin to walking on water, man was a legend!

Can still picture him standing on the porch at the end reading the note from Will, where he produces the timeless ad-libbed,

"Son of a bitch. He stole my line."

I did not know this, amazed, both of those gentlemen were rather fresh faced at the time!

The screenplay was written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who were still relatively young actors at the time.

So many deep moments in this movie but some real gems of humour as well.
Ben Affleck playing Chuckie Sullivan, going along to one of the big Corp interviews in place of Will, in a cheap suit, holding the panel to ransom, repeatedly stressing the word "Retainer" - hilarious!

If anyone reading this comment has not seen Good Will Hunting, set 2hrs aside and get it done, worth every minute 😇
