RE: Sloths Mining War — Round 11, day 2 of 7, 2026-09-11

Bringing forward the sloths from the previous round is not a great idea. The most wealthy players could buy more sloths and the could start this round with huge headstart, then they could continue building upon it with minimal effort. Meanwhile I'm stuck at practically zero sloth shards because if I reach 12 a raid starts almost immediately. I tried torpor which helped once but only for a short time.

I haven't attacked you, and I agree with you.

No, no. There was a few legit raids where players (not you) wanted to take a bigger amount of honey. But the majority of raids happen shortly after I reach the 12 shards and they raid even if I've spent all honey before that and they can't take anything. It happens in a few minutes but enough time after my spend to not be an UI glitch. I think they are bots which only watch the shard amount without the honey.

yep... I know... I wait for their broadcast... and then I attack... 🤬 - not always successfully, but I have increased my success rate against such.

Yeah we seem to have 3 bot accounts which are constantly farming the low shard accounts...

We've had many discussions about sloths and round carry overs. Maybe its time to consider having sloth reset every round and play things round by round. Would mean reducing sloth costs again (in honey) and allowing more to be purchased throughout a round. Although this would probably have the same effect with few players buying many and attacking the smaller player.

Its hard to find the right balance between the little guy and the big guys...some want to whale and play agressive, some want it sloth and steady. Some just seem to like watching the world burn as those 3 accounts which are always on the attack do...

We're monitoring things and will make some decisons towards the end of the week...maybe we need to intorduce more ways for the smaller player to succeed

I have bought sloths in a previous round but had to burn them because in that round they would just disappear at the end. So now I have slothium which I can't spend because the things I can buy with it has no worth for me right now. it would be nice to be able to buy sloths with it, even if a lower level one.

Hhmm slothium for sloths doesnt really make sense but i agree we need more options for slothium. Maybe it can be used to buy some slothshards for example.

Slothium currently allows entry into a round or booster/perk payment but needs more to make it worth while. It was only 'forced' as this is the testing phase and we wanted to give something for players who had spent money this far. We'll keep looking into the options, we've had a few great suggestions and will try to find a solution that works for everyone.

Why? I had to sacrifice my sloths. Why can't I buy them back with the slothium?

Well the whole point of burning for slothium was to burn more sloths...through voulenteering, instead of forced burns.

It wasnt designed for this niche test case, and the whole point of burning the sloths was to put everyone back on a fresh start, so to have them instantly convert back to sloths wouldn't make sense. Maybe in future it could.

Oh, I see. My case was not voluntary, but a choice of losing the bought value or getting something back. But I get that this is a testing phase and things change all the time.

Yes, during testing we're going to have to make changes and sometimes force things that people may not be happy with. Hence the slothium for burnt sloths. This is the reason we're hesitant to burn sloths every round, players are paying for them so they would expect sloths would be kept. We're trying to find the best balance for those spending a lot of money and those spending little. Unfortuantly, thats one of the hardest things to do in games involving and pay to win aspect.
