World's Daily Food Photo Contest - Sunday Anything Goes - Kamatsile or Kamunsil
Today I will share a fruit that is in season now, More popular in the Visayas. Most especially during the hot season. I am not fond of it even with all the healthful benefits.
Here in Iloilo we call it Kamunsil in Tagalog it is Kamatsile. Some people say it is sweet and very good for diabetes. Maybe when I first tried it I was given one that was not good, so ever since I really do not like it. I can eat it if needed.
I bought this for our party because I know my classmates love it. Hard to buy good ones in the city and my town is well known for producing sweet ones, especially now because no rain. I guess it thrives during the hot season.
I also brought other native snacks along with the Kamatsile.

This is a good fruit, I love the sweet one, but sometimes it taste like acrid or bitter "mapakla" , I don't know the exact English for that.. :)
yes can be bitter that is why I don't like it much because the first one I ever tried was mapakla too so maybe that is the reason
