I'm glad you turned out okay, and that the person you're sculpted into by those past experiences is one that has a bunch of motivation, pragmatism, and balance.

Yes! I do think if we're treated well by life -- which I have been done, then we have the ability to look past all the mistakes.
I have a lovely wife and family, and my work helped me reflect a great deal. Without any of this I wouldn't be here today
