RE: Incarnadine

I truly understand the catharsis that we can get from certain songs, or albums. I had some periods of big sadness. Music helped some way accompanying me to the bottom and helping me releasing the pain. Sometimes I cried, but sometimes I didn't need to and it was fine anyway.

I started listening to more aggressive music only recently. I couldn't stand growl and scream before, except for some rare cases, like Killswitch Engage. The fact that now I can listen to these extreme songs makes me think that something changed in me. Sometimes I have a feeling of extreme anger and this music help me process it. But the thought of where this anger comes from still remains.

I listened to this Incarnadine. Some years ago it would have been too much for me. Now I kept going and I really like when it goes clean. And then breaks the calm with the power of a lightning in the dark. I think contrasts are the basics of making interesting music, that's why I like Poppy and Spiritbox so much

Yes! Those calm moments and those violent moments work so well together. It is why I love bands like Epica so much - the contrast between Mark Jansen's growls and Simon Simmons' soprano - along with the clash of metal instrumentals with classical instruments is a soundscape like no other.

Some music is just the valley, the stuff with contrasts is the whole mountain range.

It's the first time I listen to a Killswitch song with no growl in it. I like it 😊
Hey @ankapolo I see you're in The Flame community. I would like to join but I read it works with some kind of invitation and approval? Can I just post what I want, if I think it's related?

I'm super new to the community, but personally think it very welcoming. It is an invite only community (which I just confirmed). I am going to ask the Mods to send you an invite 🤗

And glad you liked that track! To me its one of their best (even thought its very underrated).

can confirm. I'm the owner of the community -- it's invite only and there's a process you need to go through before you can post without getting auto-muted.

But I'd love to have you.
