Every day the same trending page and my thoughts about steem........
Hi everyone!
I love our blockchain and i beleive in it.
The reason why i am writing this post is just because i am angry.
Angry because i just checked the trending page and what we can see there?
Or
The same people every day 2-4x, boosted by promo and bidbots. I really dont want to mention nobody. If you check the trending often you know what i mean.
Or
Some new dapps or services ( which i like anyway )
Or
Some steemians trying to push they ref. links and they make "contests"
Honestly i am so so tired of this.
Just had a few comments from @xplosive and i had to say he is right. I will copy paste it here please if you read this post than think about it and leave your opinion as a comment.
(by the way i get use to it that there are no comments. Nobody dont care because i dont boost it with 100's of dollar and i dont offer also free steem or votes)

Definitely not with the lack of real, human interaction on the platform.
Definitely not with the army of bot comments on the platform.
Definitely not with the "buy your way in" conception on the "Trending" page.

I don't need to imagine that. Steemit is full with users like that.
A lot of people are writing blog posts, but only a few of them cares about the blog posts of others.

Honestly, how would you advertise a platform like this?
Would the new users use the platform in the long term/run?
I highly doubt it.
I am using the Steem blockchain since 2017.05.17, and even I thought about leaving the platform multiple times.
I even left it for months.
I think that the people (or the so called community) need to fix the problems on the Steem blockchain, before they would advertise it.
I will also try to boost this post ( if i can, if there will be avalible promo votes ) just because i really want to reach more and more people with this message.
I know for the "big boys" this is doesnt matter. They make they post they boost it and they cash out a nice amount every week. Thanks to the steemworld we can see everything.
I do also boosts and vote selling yes. Because i wanna survive here and not just survive but also grow.
But will be not easier if you make friends here and you upvote each other? I mean like on fb.
Why not?
Why everyone is so so greedy?
Right now what is happening here is same that what we experience in a real world. The money goes to to big guys from the small. The smalls they get that much which is just enought.
But should be not like this.
To be honest i am sure there will be a day when it will change.
Like @crypto.piotr is also working hard to build some communities. ( even sometimes i dont agree with him but still there is a respect and cooperation ) But he is doing a great job.
Not just steem but basicly all the blockchains are new. We are still in time to change the way how we are useing it.
The only thing to make a change is just to open our eyes. This technology can be a life changeing stuff. But right now it is not working properly. Its working but lets say it is sick. Still alive but sick. So imagine if we can heal it........
Lets see what is happening with some dapss. And i really respect example @broncnutz who was not afraid to share what he thougt. And actually he is right. Some dapps also just launch than they changeing the rules. And they can make it because we alow them. Because most of us are greedy. Hungry for every pcs of free token.
So yeah, something is not good. Something have to change.
So yeah today this is what i would like to share.
Thanks if you spent some of your time to read my post.
Hope soon we can see experience how it should be instead of what we have now.

I totally understand what you are saying gabby! 96 votes and no single reply yet sometimes the community is really artificial in here. I read your post and can relate too. I myself am a smaller account who wants to grow but I am also making advantage of the dapps, bots,... But still I prefer some interaction and comments over amount of votes and stuff. Take care
Yeah 96 votes because i bought some promotion. The sad truth is if nowdays we dont promote the post nobody dont see it. Because all the trending and riseing posts are promoted.
Usually i try to make a post about serious topics. Sometimes i just share about my life. But the sad truth is if the people dont see the money they ignore it and maybe that is a fantastic post.
So actually i am trying hard to open the eyes of the community. To make friends to comment. That is the only way that steem can be "healthy" in the future.
Also it is quiet hard to onboard people like this. Imagine if you are not strong enought than after you sign up 2 weeks and ciao. You leave. But if there lets say i will invite you here as a friends for sure i will always check your profile.

My impression is that the best way is to focus on building strong follower base and keep sending them notifications (via memo) about your new publications.
Anything in trending or in your newsfeed is becoming "old" very quick. Memos are easier to manage.

Right now i am also on the case to build some community.
I make a social experiment. I dont sell any of my votes. I set it up for 95% but as you see i cant reach it😁 instead of that i give my votes to those who comment😉

Absolutly agree. But. There is many new people who actually dont have money. Or lets say they dont know yet how to buy steem.
My problem is that we lose many many new users because of this.
Example me when i started i also almost gave up 2x. But i see a fantastic oportunities in steem and thats why i start to power up. But also imagine if you dont need to spend? That you can grow because you are just a good content creator. Than from that amount you can support also others. Unlike now if you have money you boost and cash out.
More SP holders mean more valluable steem. But like this it will be hard.

You don't really agree if you still have that But. Because as Ned of Game of Thrones said, anything that comes before the word "but" is a horse shit. And I agree with that statement. Anything positive yet negated with "but" is close to nothing. It is plus one minus one equals zero.
If others don't have money to spend on bidbots or promotions then that is nobody's fault. More so, that is not the fault of those who has money and take advantage of the opportunity to earn more. If anyone without money (like me when I started) is easily frustrated only because they don't have much money then that is their problem. They get frustrated because they are envious and compare themselves with others instead of focusing on themselves to get better.
Steem is a business. Everyone has to admit that fact. Otherwise, people will just keep getting frustrated and angry like you.

Steem and steemit is not a business. That is a social media platform that rewards they users. I am not frustrated absolutly just to let you know. I have also 4k sp and that is right now enought soon another power up comming.
But you dont know much about steemit as i see.
The one thing you should know that more users means more SP holders. More SP holders means the price of the steem will rise. But if many of us just keep focusing for ourselfs than this will never happen.
I do agree what the gantlemen told but there is also another side of the topic.
If you study example about the steemflagrewards or some projects you will find out. If you have money it means you can post what ever nonsense and get paid?
Yes there are many good articles and content creators who use to boost they posts but lets face the fact. If it will be still like this than we will dont see many new people here. And that is not the steemit.

Imagine that right now steemit is philippines. There is few rich and many poor but talented. And even you are talented you dont get attention.
I have enought darling. 10 days and we go with my family back to europe where i have already a very good job offer. I sold the farm and our online business is working well. My car will make extra income because i leave it to my friend in manila to be grab.

Steemit and the steem power is not the world. But can change the world if we use it in a proper way.

There was created more than 1.3 million steemit account. From that estimated 40-50k is active. Lets say you wanna buy a promo. Smartsteem: there will be maybe votes worth 10sbd monnowbooster: there will be maybe 8sbd. Because there is not enought never. But there is no more people to sell.
I was checking some accounts who are selling votes. Long time ago they left. Just they set up maybe a vote selling. 7-10 months left accounts. Go back to the time and check what was 7-10months before.
The price was much higher. We had much more active user base.
But according to you this is a business and if you have you can make more.
Ok. Just maybe you woke up one day that your steem is worthless because nobody dont use it. Than?
The steem worth more and more if the people trade it use it or power up.
Thats why i told that if you would like i can met with you and we can have a chat. Because steem is not just all about steemhunt or posting than invest. There is much more.
And as i see from the comments many of them they know what i mean. Yours was the only "negative"

The truth is that Ned of Game of Thrones was wrong and his approach to 'but' is worth horseshit. At least that's how I see it.
Not using this word is like saying that everything need to be very simple: black or white. Right or wrong.
At life isn't like this. I rather hear people saying that they hear me and understand me, but .... Than those who will just nod their head and will avoid that "but" word. At the same time in their head "they will know better".

Igen en is azt csinalom mostanaban. Mar nagyon unom folyton ugyan azokat a neveket. A masik bajom meg az hogy jo amugy jo postokat csinalnak es nem sajnalom toluk csak elveszik a helyet azoktol akik szeretnenek szinten fejlodni. Es ezzel ala aknazzak az egesz steemitet. Sokkal jobban jarnanak ha egy kicsit a kisebbeket hagynak ervenyesulni. Tobb lenne az SP holder igy a steem ara is emelkedne. De sajnos ez nem jut el a pici agyukig😏

I almost agree with your thoughts but at the oposite side I need to say that I saw your post just thanks to promotion.
Honestly at last time I read posts from trending page just because I can't read all articles at New posts page. But at other side I am agree with you that in case if whales and other big fishs support newbies it would be more honestly to them and they(newbies) won't give up and continue create I need sometimes quality posts.
And one more negative thing that with this promotion services we see disbalance of reputation and SP which recieve minnows when they are using bidbots and promotion services.
So here we are...

Yes i had to use it because if i didnt make it than it will dont get any atention.
And i am really happy that now i can read and answer few comments.
In the past few days me also i check the trending page but straight after that i go to the rising and new posts.
Sometimes i find there more interesting contents. And they are really really ignored many times.
And this is because everyone sell they votes and they dont want to vote for them or because the content creator dont have money to boost. Which is quiet sad i think.
If i check the numbers that there is 1.2 million account registered and from that 50k is active. 🤔 So something is wrong i think.
My plan is to make more posts about this or similar topics because i think it will helps to grow our community.
Just we have to change lil bit our mindset. Dont focus that much for the present but more for the future. And i am sure if we give more attention to the new users ( planktons or minnows ) also the price of steem will grow and it will be easier to onboard new users.

You know not only vote-selling but let's don't forget about low RC of newbies who just came to platform after last HF.
Of course some of them maybe just playing in Steem Monsters or Drug Wars.
But any way newbies with low RC can't create many comments and content and it's negative.
About growing up community I think as good example I can mention @crypto.piotr who tries to help to people who create good content or community.
So let's hope for the best future! And do every thing what in our power!

But also i am thinking that i will try something to do to make this better. Because we are the steem we are the one who can make changes. Just have to open the eyes of other users as well.

Yes I know that there are other people who also try to support good content creators. I mentioned him as example.
Of course we have many curation trails at such services like autovoter or SteemEngine.net and discord channels but it'll be good if once there will be such trail where people can decide/nominate together as community not only somebody one for whom upvote not only for rewards but for good post. Hope once we'll have such one. And minnows can grow more organic!

I'm seriously wondering who even care about checking trening page. Most users seem to be unable to even keep up with their newsfeed and it's quite obvious that trending page doesn't really do much.
To give you and @gabbynhice an example: I tried 2 times to post something, boost it to trening and only 2 days later promote it via mass memos. Trending brought me only few comments. Sending memos? Always 50-100 if not more.
Perhaps it's worth considering this way of reaching to your audience.

Én nem néztem a sopranost :D Nem az én műfajom. A trónok harca végülis ugyanaz, csak jelmezben vannak, meg kardoznak, érdemes próbát tenni vele, szerintem jó :)

Very well said. Trending page has nothing to do with being "trending" except of the fact that it's called that way and everyone has a dream that whatever we see there will be somehow really worth our time.

I dont have any problem with the trending page, that is the mining section, with more or less well-writen, but average level articles, next to the really few announcement-like news-post. But if something its a big news, i can read it in my feed, coz i follow some "important" people.
For me, its just a little weird, people see the articles there, and they are think, that is the steemit. Its like you watch a tv, and when the ads come, you think, that is the channel :)

But at the same time I dont understand why do you care about something called "trending page". We people are so stubborn to thing that "trening page" is trending because it says so.
Why do you need to be angry because of it? Just ignore trending page (like almost everyone else here does) ... Being angry is so unhealthy buddy....

Plus those "trending"post take out a big vallue from the blockchain.
Imagine if those votes goes to others. They power it up and yeah miracle in short distance the vallue of steem will be higher😉
